Oh wow, that’s a long time. Hmm, are you sure you are only exporting the part of the movie you want to gif, only try and export a few seconds or maybe minute.. not too much because you will be there for a long time.. and make sure you export it as a mov file (quicktime movie). Hope that helps you. (:
